Meh, i keep my mouth shut these days. not many fist fight any more, when ya throw up the dukes out comes a machete or a gun. Something like 200 homicides last year in the town i live in ,probably way less fist fights.

He lives in a really small town, everybody in it is dead, except for him and some guy with a gun.

Off Topic: Historian, on your blog I saw you complained of hand numbness. I have a touch of arthritis in my hands, plus they get cramped from operating a keyboard and mouse already, so I got some of these to put on my bars: http://www.treefortbikes.com/97_3332...h-Bar-End.html

I love them, great for transferring some weight off my ass to my palms too, if I want to lean heavy on the bars for a few. Don't know if something like that would help you, or if your bar setup would be compatible. Thought I would mention it here tho, since I'm not registered to post on blogs. Well I did at one time, but forgot what my login details are :/

Thankfully. When I read your post I had a hard time figuring out intent from the tone of it that is why I asked. ;)

If you get pepper spray, you should have someone spray you at a typical distance so you know what it feels like. You'd be surprised how functional you really are even with watery eyes. This is what you're doing to someone else. Don't stick around.

I mainly keep the spray for dogs. A quick burst of atomized spray will deter the dog and get him away from you. Having the spray for humans is an added bonus.

From a risk management perspective, if wearing bright colors makes me more obvious and therefore safer, I'll take the name calling over accidents.
