After today I have even more to add. The typical low temp this time of year where I live is in the low 40's. It was 65 on my ride in at 5 AM today! No tights, no jacket, no gloves, it was fantastic.

Off the thread topic, I did my avatar ride yesterday and came within a few feet of a herd of about a dozen bighorn sheep. Talk about cool!

Um, I have my own office with a door and a window on the corner of the building. My bike can easily sit in the corner without anyone really noticing. No other big perks other than specific space in the fridge, 3 massive closets for my junk, and yeah I'm posting here atm.

Big locker room, private shower stalls (with laundry hooks to dry off my riding gear,) I park my bike in my cube when it's dry and in the locker room when it's sopping wet.
I'm the only regular bike commuter out of 80 people at this facility. There's 2 more commuters at one of our other facilities, out of about another 100 people. (They have indoor bike parking and a nice locker room setup over there, too. And a basketball hoop in in the back parking lot.)

My bike computer composes posts for me, and posts them to BF using a built-in EvDO chip, while I'm riding.

The way the post is written is set by what gear I'm in and my cadence. Higher cadence, shorter post. Higher gear, less flaming post. So, to not get banned for absolutely tearing into people in A&S, I have to spin fast in a high gear.

:roflmao:

On a more serious note... I haven't actually started commuting yet, and it'll only be partially on bike (most of it will be by car.) However, my work DOES have a shower. I'll have to see whether I can actually get access to it or not, though. And, there's plenty of room in the boiler room to stick a bike inside.

I would think with you in Honolulu, anything I can say must pale in comparison.

Regarding mosquitos squirtdad, they really aren't a problem here and I draw the line riding at about 0 to -5. Those numbers probably make CB HI faint. :D

Anyhow, I can see it from where I sit.

Yesterday a new guy in the office got us to look out the window at his new bike that he parked in the bike stand across the street instead of in the secure lockup under the building. The ironic part is that we were 15 floors up and had a great view of the guy who walked up, took a huge pair of bolt cutters out of his trench coat and cut the lock off his bike. There was nothing we could do except call the cops with the description.

I have my own shower and bathroom, as much closet space as I could ever want, and at times I have as many as 4 bikes at my workplace, indoors of course.

I have big time respect for you guys who just towel off and have to haul everything.

Oh, plus I get to sit here at work on the forums and lastly, I'm gonna take a nice little ride during lunch on an absolutely stunning day!

So are you in Winnipeg? I'm curious who the good employers are. :D
