Thanks, I love these little posts! Very interesting. The streets are in some kind of crazy-bad shape there, aren't they? I guess AZ has it easy, as far as weather affecting the roads, though, so I'm probably spoiled.

I'm the guy who posted the SF commute pictures, I feel special that I actually inspired someone else to do the same.

I'm going to visit New York this fall. Maybe I should bring or rent a bike, and ride around a bit while I'm there, looks like fun.

Quite inspiring. I've recently brought my camera on my commute to take pictures inspired by this thread and possibly will post them up on a commuting in TO thread. :-)

I've only been to Manhattan once and I walked a lot of it. How far is it (in miles or km) from 79th street to Battery Park?
