So I'm thinking about picking one of these up in a few weeks when all the rentals come back to the shop next door to where I work. They'll knock $100 off retail for me. Anyone have any experience with them? I'm currently riding an '05 Raleigh Gran Sport, but I think this will make a far better winter bike/trailer hauler, and still be more fun on the road than my heavy old mt bike. I don't want to convert the mt bike, just because sometimes the neighbors come by and knock on my door on the way to the trails to see if I want to join them, so I always like it to be ready for that. I'm really thinking that this is a good way for me to go completely car free by the end of the year. Any thoughts?

I've ridden one for two years. Everything still works. The frame is solid which will make it worthwhile to upgrade the original components when they wear out. It's my utility bike. I've fitted it with racks and baskets so I can load it up. Not fast, but reliable transportation for me.
