Office deodorizer

My previous commuting was in a situation where there were a few of us, and we kept our commute gear in the stall where the shower was. Now I'm an office-jockey and keep my stuff in my office. I have a nice little cabinet next to my desk to toss my clothes into, and as soon as I remember I'll bring in something to hang them on in there, but what I'm concerned about is the cabinet getting a little funky. Anyone know of a good, low power air freshener that I could toss in to keep it not-funky? My first though was a car (review mirror hanging) one, but I don't know how potent they are.

Those car deodorizers generally smell awful. I'd rather smell rank BO than that nauseating fake pine tree smell.

Might just get a spray bottle of Febreeze or something and spray the hell out of stuff before you put it in.

+1 to the Febreeze idea. Another one to try is Oust. You can get a timed dispenser (runs on AA batteries) and set it for the longest delay. They have some that don't smell all flowery.

That was my first thought, I was just hoping for a passive solution. I'll pick a can/bottle/whatever up on my way home.

Thanks

activated carbon?

Why not get some activated carbon or one of those bags of pet stink absorbers like this: https://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...=2002+113638)? No fragrance to make your office smell like a brothel, but plenty of stink-absorbing power. Just leave it in the cabinet and replace as necessary.

I have heard a 'home remedy' type solution- Thouroughly saturate a cottonball in vanilla extract, and put it in a cup somewhere out of the way, but open to the air of the room. i.e. shelf (you dont want it to fall on the carpet)

That's a nice idea for a non-overwhelming scent. I have a Maid of Orleans jasmine plant in my office that's very fragrant, but not nasty-smelling.
