I agree the drivers are pretty bad but I don't have anything to compare to-- I took up commuting when I got to WBP area of FL. No problems so far other than the occasional 'buzzer' or people that don't see me, but I have to really plan my routes out well otherwise some roads in the area are simply unrideable. I do Lake Worth Rd from downtown LW to Jog Rd., if anyone is reading that is here too.
I have to watch out for pedestrians/ other bicyclists more so than drivers, though, they regularly walk/ ride out in front of me/ wrong way on road/ etc. Have had more close-collisions with them than drivers.

The tourists aren't as bad as the Yankees who move down and constantly complain how much better things were in NYC, Boston, Philly, or whatever Northeastern metropolis they're from. If it's so great there, why not move back?
