Have to admit that '07 was a virtually flat free year for me, eventhough I commuted 2000 miles. Part of this I attribute to the good roads and bike lanes I used, and the other part was the excellent Vittoria 'Rubino Pro' folders I had on my bike. IMO those are some great tires for commuting.

I did get one flat though, and that was last November while riding to work. I ran over some kind of piece of metal in the dark, and then spent 15 minutes under a street lamp changing out the tube. By then, the Vittorias were worn down pretty good.

Six flats in 2700km (1680mi). Four on them on a crappy rear tire. One with a 1" screw, two with tiny long glass pieces, one with a long brass button or somewhat, plus one pinch flat. One for a path that part company with tube (Less than good workmanship of the patcher -me-)...

Regards...

roadbike - 4 (in one day - my fingers HURT from changing --- hit pothole - blew both tires, replaced one tube, fixed other. On way home, blew out tube I fixed - walked bike home, inserted new tube - pinched it - blew out in my ear ... all in all - it was Fix-a-Flat 101 - nice to do right in the beginning of Spring. Gets ya good and ready for the rest of the year )

mtb - 1 - big hunka glass. And right by a smoking area of a factory --- had 4 men out there giving me kissy noises while I changed tubes. Fastest flat I ever fixed.

5, I think. All rear.

Running stock "just ok" tires. Will look at switching to different tires in the spring when I take off the Nokians.

I think one, and that was a slow leak. In 2000 miles. None since I switched the road bike to Gatorskins.

One flat thanks to a huge staple and one blowout thanks to a cheap tire (I went out to the garage and found the side of the tire missing).

None due to road hazards or bad tires. One due to me not putting the rim strip in correctly on a new wheel build.

I lost count. Between April and September, maybe 1. But from September till December I got them allll the time. I'd place it somewhere between 10 and 15.

A handful. One in mid-winter through the ole' Nokians (now with SpinSkins) and another one that ruined my whole weekend as it sliced open the tire royally and I was without a spare tire (limped home with boot). A few other common flats, too.

Pedaled about 6000 road miles in 2007. 2 flats, both in April, but only one of those was during a commute ride, the other was on a weekend recreation ride. My tires are 700x35 Pacela tourguard folding, 75 psi. Plain old Nashbar butyl tubes. One flat from a large roofing nail, another from a thin piece of metal that looked like a big staple. Note, most of my commute miles are through two suburban cities that send motorized streetsweeper vehicles around several times a month to clean the gutters and shoulders of the streets (where the bike lanes happen to be). When ever I pass one of them going about their job, I always wave a friendly greeting to the driver and say "thank you". Largely thanks to them, my flats while bike commuting were rare.

I've probably had eight since late fall. Most were pin pricks (thorn?). The 40F degree at 7pm on the MUP in the dark was not fun or the 30F degree in front of 7 Eleven. I replaced a 27" tube and rode this Wed only to flat within 2 miles. Since I packed the wrong tube I had to burn 2 C02 cartridges to limp home.

Tonight I had the maiden voyage on the electric assist MTB. I stopped to top off the front tire because it seemed very low. After about 300 yards it blew out. I rode the last 2 miles on rims because I was running late again without tubes.
