Bell metropolis sale

Nashbar has older versions ('04-'06) of the metropolis deeply discounted -- I picked up the '05 model for $30. If you're lucky enough to have a small head, they have the accessorized '05 for $50.

Anyone know if the current winter and rain kits fit the older versions of the helmet?

Yes, I bought a brand new winter kit and new rain cover for my '04 Bell Metro and they fit just fine.

Yup, someone pointed it out in another thread earlier last week, mine was waiting for me when I got home on Friday. I've been running with a 3 year old Citi that got crunched a little in a spill a few months back, so I should have replaced it before now, but I wanted a Metro and didn't want to pay full price.

Great helmet. I picked one up on sale at my local REI for $55 last fall. I really like having the tab on back for an extra tail light, which I why I bought the helmet.

I bought a medium last year from Nash, with the full kit of extras. Haven't use the extras yet cause it's not cold enough in southern cal and it's only rained a couple of times in the past few months. The rain cover on mine has one snap that seems to be bad. Besides that it's a great helmet, and I agree, the extra rear blinkie attachment is great. Several people I know that have passed me in cars while I was pedaling along said the helmet blinkie really got their attention.
