Biking at the Superbowl
So my girlfriend signed us up to be in the AMP "human energy" event instead of riding our bikes to work this week. Its kinda fun, like being in a group ride with a DJ.
Thier website seems cool, they have videos of us riding. https://www.humanenergy.ampenergy.com/ Or you can click on my commuting blog thats in my signature.

Interesting mix of human-power buzz, fitness and motivational techniques, and blatant commercialism. A cool idea, no doubt, and good PR for both the idea of human power and the AMP product. But my cynical side wonders if the sound system used by the motivators was also being powered by the riders or was it normal grid electricity, and how much fuel was expended to truck in all the equipment. Bottom line, was the net carbon footprint positive or negative?
