Nexus 3 speed wheel, how the heck do I remove this thing!

Nexus 3 speed wheel, how the heck do I remove this thing!
Ive got a Nexus 3 speed hub that I got on a bike and would like to use it on another frame, problem is I cant figure out how to remove the rear wheel from the bike?! should I go at it with a pair of grip pliers!! 
any help would be nice

There is a nut on the backside of the shifter (towards the rear of the bike).
- Loosen this and the shifter will slide sideways off of the hub.
- Go to the other side of the bike and remove the bolt that attaches the arm running from the hub to your chainstay.
- From there, you can remove the wheel like normal.
- Loosen this and the shifter will slide sideways off of the hub.
