Indeed. It seems today's strip is directed at me (and my spreadsheet)

I wish I could say it was easy as grabbing material from the forums

The guy in today's strip is me from last year... I grabbed chipcom's spreadsheet that was in his sig last year and laboriously filled it in each day.

I know how many miles I commute because I don't use the bike for anything else, and I have an odometer.

I do make black marks on my calendar when I drive though. Or, I did until the last 2 months, when my son wound up on crutches and needed to be driven to school (for 6 weeks so far, UGH!). Salvation is at hand however, the cast came off on Tuesday and hopefully his ankle will loosen up and the muscles get strong enough to lose the crutches this weekend!!!

I bet he can't wait -

I always accidentally reset my cyclometer's odometer.

I wasn't reducing it to that, but the recurring mirror-wearing commut-o-nerd reminds me of myself every single time he makes an appearance.

This is the most dangerous time of the year. Round here, the roads are really clear right now. I can just throw on the summer wheelset and stay on the roads only. But the MUPs are not, which is the majority of my commute. There was so much melt water flowing out there and across them today. There will be many many long stretches of shear ice in the morning. To me it's un-ridable without studs. Gotta throw the winter wheelset back on in the morning for that.

My solution, 2 wheelsets, same rim width, and its a single speed. It's a 2 minute switch.

I love the studs in the winter, but at this point I can't wait to put them up on the hooks for the year!

Took mine off this week. It is so nice not to have them on. Like having a new bike!
