Anyone tried one of these lights??

I found a bunch of cheap lights on EBay. I am wondering if anyone has tried them. I need a good front light that blinks just to get drivers attention. I don't want to pay over $30.

Thanks

Lights. It has 76 LED's and uses 4 AA's.

If you get one, let us know how it performs.

i think you can get it cheaper from dealextreme.com if you're willing to ship from the other side of the earth (dx ships from HK). I just ordered a Q5 light for my helmet a week ago, so it should be here this week or so.

Have you considered this light from cateye https://www.cateye.com/en/product_detail/325.

I use it myself for commuting and I have had 1 car pull along side me and ask what it was as he saw me from a distance when he was at a junction (think he was also a cyclist on his way home from work).

cheap junk waisting our resources

Hello,
I brought a similar one from ebay myself, quality VERY low. Also is not cycling specific is also marketed as a strap on headlamp/torch; quick release mount is an after thought and has way too much play (had to put tape on to fill the gaps). The switch regularly fails so the light does not work. But worst of all after little use 1\3 of the led’s have failed. Do your self a favour and buy some junk led light from the local supermarket, then you can return it if it goes lame. Otherwise fork out a bit extra and get something that someone will put their brand name on. Cycle specific light will at least have a better mount.

Thanks,

Thats what I was after. I kind of figure if you buy something for a dollar, thats probably what it is worth. I may still get one just to play with.

Thanks for the link. I like that one a lot and I am planning on getting in the morning.
