NYC fog!

I had at best 1/10th of a mile (i.e two blocks) of visibility for a large section of my commute today along the Hudson River Greenway. I should go to work early more often. What else have I been missing??

Anybody have trouble w/ the fog this AM?

Pretty bad here in DC area in lower-lying areas. My commute is a net ~150ft gain or so, so it cleared up on the way to work. Couldn't use my glasses because of all the condensation on them.

I had to stash the riding glasses on the helmet (upside down, Lance-style) to see where I was going too.

Made it about a mile before I had to ditch the jacket and glasses. By the time I got to work both me and my bike were covered with a fine mist.

What time were you on the Greenway? I rode to work this morning and rather enjoyed the fog but it kept me on my toes because it was pretty thick. The ride across the GWB was pretty nice as well, reminded me of riding in SF. I saw a lot of people riding which was nice. I didn't wear a jacket but layered up instead because it's going to reach close to 70 today. I too had to ditch the glasses because of the mist that kept forming.

Nope, it's raining and we're hoping that the tornados stay to the north of us.

I rode on the street instead of the greenway, and I didn't notice any fog. I did hear reports of fog on the radio this morning, and my co-worker showed me some pictures from his commute starting near the Brooklyn Bridge.

I was on the Greenway by 7:15AM, starting at the GWB. The fog got thicker as I made it further south but almost entirely disappeared when I hit the streets for my crosstown journey to the WillyB.

Great pics timmhaan!

I took the Greenway this morning too....Surreal.
Could've used some wipers for the shades.

I came down the West Side bike path this morning, but I didn't leave my house until 9:30am - was clear and sunny by then.
