Just picked up a Light and Motion Solo logic Mv which is, so far, a great light. However, I am curious how people have tackled the issue of cable routing with a light that comes on/off the bike (ie. obviously zip ties are not the answer). So far I have just been loosely winding the cable around the top tube, but I interested in a more elegant solution. I was thinking if there was such a thing like a zip tie that permanently attaches to a tube but has a little c-shaped deal on the side of it that the cable could snap in/out of when necessary. However, I have been unable to find such a thing. What are you all doing?

I have an 1986 Free Spirit Tourney bike from Sears at home that is pretty worthless as a bike (plan to use it to learn/practice how to build/true wheels) but I think it might have some clips used for cable routing that might work for your application. What diameter is the tube you're routing along?

...Just throwing another idea out there... If you can leave the cable on the bike and disconnect both ends where the lights and batteries connect, you could get away with zip-ties for the cable and leave that on the bike but remove/install the lights/batteries only.

If the Solo Logic Mv uses the larger battery (not the mini Cub battery) then you can use my solution if you mount the lamp head on the bars:

- Put the lamp onto the bar holster/fixture
- Put the battery on the top tube, right behind the head tube
-- Use the battery retention strap to hold the looped up excess cord.

No cable clips or zip ties needed.
