Anybody tried these?
So I've been debating what to do with my pedal situation for a while as I want to wear whatever shoes I want, but clip-in platform pedals look scarier than cleats, but I don't want just plain platform pedals. So I had this idea that you could attach a cleat to straps and then use whatever shoes you wanted with cleat-pedals. Then browsing around sure that nothing could possibly exists like this I happened across it:

Anybody ever try these? I was thinking of getting some shimano spd-sl 105's and then these; Then I can use whatever shoes I want and still have a pedal attachment that I would be happy with.
any opinions?

doesn't seem like a long term/permanent solution to me. Seems more like "can I borrow your bike? No I don't have any shoes with cleats but I do have these!"
Powergrips are an excellent in-between solution. Better than toe straps, and you can wear any shoes that you want.
