which brakes to get?

which brakes to get?
I want to get new brake pads for my daily commuter. I ride every day. I ride in the rain, snow, dry or whatever. What are the best kind to get? I was thnking about Kool-Stops. Chime in and let me know.

I use Kool Stop salmon pads for my all weather commuter.

IMO- they improve braking performance, "feel" better when modulating your brakes, better in wet or grime conditions. Some say they squeak more- have them on the cantis on my crosscheck and on the
V-brakes of a 520. The cantis probably did make a little more noise at first- i've worn them in and slightly adjusted the pad position, they are quiet now. Started out quiet and stayed that way on the 520. Have put them on the V-brakes of my son's MTB bike and partner's T-2000- quiet on both with improved braking.

Living in CO it's pretty dry, so I got the standard rubber and it's still way better than any other pad I've ever used...I mean WAY better. Put 'em on my V-brakes and a pair on my single pivots, too.
On my calipers I first bought some Serfas cause they were cheap, but they didn't do any better than the 10 year old worn pads that were on there. So, I put those in the parts bin and bought some Kool-Stops. The Kool Stops proved that it wasn't my brakes that sucked, and that pads really do make a difference.
