Switched to the Hybrid

My road bike was pissing me off last night (mechanical issues). I put the rack onto my hybridized Diamondback Outlook, then put the panniers on that for the commute this morning.

Honestly, I think it looks pretty good this way. I had a huge tailwind push this morning that resulted in a personal best average of 18.0 MPH (and an avg of 19.6 before I started the hill climb into downtown). I'll probably keep this setup for all of next week until I decide that I like my road bike enough to fix it myself or take it to a shop.

Here's some more pics from the bike commuter convoy this morning. Karen's got a 24 mile R/T, Chris (the guy in the grey shirt) has a 48 mile R/T. Mine is 28 miles. We all join up near Karen's place just up the road from me.

Stopped by a train! Ugh.

Oh yeah, gotta love downhill sections with a tailwind!

Nice looking! I'm not sure I'd switch back...
