Congrats! Every time I hear "bar exam" I think of a quote from The Big Lebowski...

Sometimes you eat the bar, and, well, sometimes the bar eats you.

Hope you eat the bar this time

State government - historic preservation environmental review. A million years of grad school and I land a job that buries me under a ton of the most boring paperwork ever. At least the coworkers are cool and the pay is decent. Now, if I could just convince the state government (with perpetual budget problems) to spring for a few decent bike racks.....

I commute 28mi RT to Underwriter's Labs... yep, THAT UL. Pick up any lamp, clock, blender, refrigerator (WHOA, put that down before you hurt yourself)... the little UL-in-the-circle mark sticker on the base or cord, that's us. I like to say, "We blow stuff up so you don't have to."
I'm fortunate in that UL's always been pretty 'green'. They have bike racks at all entrances to the building, plus bike lockers in the courtyard (although nobody uses them, at $7 a month, who cares if the bike gets wet?). They also have a dedicated shuttle service to the local train station, so long-distance commuters have a good option, too.

I work for a video game company that makes a few big games. Small group of people, very open mindset, very cool perks. Sometimes the hours can be long but it's the best job I've ever had.

meteorologist - guess that makes me well-informed on what weather I'll encounter on the way to work and the way home. Although, in Seattle, that translates to wet or dry with a little wind now and then. If only we could finally get some spring-like weather now that summer is less than 2 weeks away.

Are you at the LaHabra base? I wanted to apply there for the blow-em-up funtimes.

full time student of Marine biology. I do also ride 14mi. to volunteer with the Park Service about 3 or 4 times a month. we ride ATVs around on the Gulf coast beaches looking for the nests of birds and sea turtles. Snorkel, climb trees and dunes, etc...

I grow plants (curry, cacti, salvia, *ahem*eventually others) as well. Though, no need to commute to my shed or garage. I let things grow....

yes, I have been called a hippie.

Aspiring for full-time Christian ministry. I'm not working for The Man--I'm working for The Lord, baby! Seriously, Christians should be the most outspoken and greatest thinkers mankind has to offer, and cycling for personal transportation is one in my list of practice-what-you-preach-persuasive-arguments.
