You're in good hands at Tulane. I had a side gig writing for the Tulane Hospital Center's in-house magazine when I was in law school (at Tulane) a few years ago (mid-thirties career change). One of the articles I did was on the pioneering work they were doing with liver transplants, specifically transplanting live adult liver nodes into children, who wouldn't be able to take a full adult liver, and children's livers suitable for transplant are thin on the ground. A companion piece was on organ donation (and Miss/La.'s abysmal rate -- a large racial element -- the black population tends to be very distrustful and disturbed by the idea -- wonder why <sarcasm>).
How long have you been in Biloxi? I grew up in Picayune, college in Hattiesburg, and lived in NOLA for good number of years.

sweet eric: (BTW, cool name
). Thanks for the info. I just moved to Biloxi a year ago working for the university library; my wife's job is cooler though: she gets to work out at Ship Island during the summer. (What? Me jealous?!? Never.

Re name: thanks -- it's an ironic tag hung me by the guys at the music bar in NOLA where I worked the door (yet another side gig).
Ship Island! -- nothing but glaring hot sun and sand fleas.
My family will be down to Orange Beach, AL, in late August. I'm sure my wife and mother-in-law will take a day at the Biloxi casinos. They usually do whenever they're at the condo. Hopefully, the in-laws will have some bikes at the condo.
So strange, I left Miss. long before the casinos arrived, and when I came back to NOLA, spend beach time at Bay St. Louis. I can't imagine trying to ride there now, especially with most of what I knew and loved having been erased.
