Am I noticing a patern???

Ok, (I know I had a part in some of these but) there was the X-mart bike bash thing (several threads), what bike should I get?(still many threads), and the "Whats _____mean?" threads, so I was just wondering what was next before it all loops and we start over again. :D

DataJunkie 06-16-08 05:45 PM

We need a MP3 player thread, a what do you look like thread, 10 more threads bashing roadies , and a few other items first.

Wait....wait....wait.....wait. We already had the MP3 player threads....I just forgot that one. Or was that just the end of the last loop? :roflmao2: .............I slay me.

nowheels 06-16-08 06:23 PM

how about the backpack vs panniers threads..... or vs. messenger bags

notfred 06-16-08 06:24 PM

This forum's about riding a bike to work. I don't know how varied you can really expect the topics to be.

AEO 06-16-08 06:39 PM

don't forget the "ignorant pedestrian" threads :-p

ironhorse3 06-16-08 06:53 PM

Also repetition is good, not bad. It's OK to say the same thing over again, each time is fresh and new again maybe with slightly different spin or a few new comments. +1

slowjoe66 06-16-08 07:01 PM

Don't forget the "help me choose a commuter bike" thread.

What else do you want?

As notfred said, this is a bike forum and most people come to forums for help.

HardyWeinberg 06-16-08 07:18 PM

What's with fenders anyway. Some people have'em, some people don't!!!

Eaaaassssyyyyy don't get ticked off.....others have found the fun in this thread. I was just trying to break the monotany...........damn Roadies. :D

mtnwalker 06-16-08 08:21 PM

Lets see:
What bike?
What tires?
What fenders?
Racks or backpacks?
Platform or clipless?
Lycra or pants?
Jersey or shirts?
Helmet or no helmet?
Gloves?
Cotton or Polypro or Wool?
First time commuter
First\second\third\etc week\month\year of commute
Flats: prevention, how long/often
Frame pumps, mini pumps, floor pumps
Sun block
Mountain or Road shoes?

And thats just what I remembered in the past 2 minutes. But I'm not complaining. If these threads never gets repeated this will be a pretty dead forum.

Long live the repetitiveness.:thumb:

slowjoe66 06-16-08 08:46 PM

It's sort of like complaining about your job....if your complaining at least you still have one right?

alhedges 06-16-08 08:54 PM

Don't forget the metadiscussions about how the same topics keep coming up. :)

DataJunkie 06-16-08 09:02 PM

Then there are the obligatory posts complaining about those complaining. Resulting in another post noting that some others are complaining about others complaining.

I though it was refreshing..... I don't mind rehashing something 2 or 3 time a year.....

BroadSTPhilly 06-17-08 12:24 PM

Haha those dumb cagers have to buy expensive gas. When will they see the light and start riding bikes.

Mendel 06-17-08 12:50 PM

Its the rhythm as more people get turned on to bicycle commuting and Bike Forums. The drumbeat of progress...
