Walking sucks

I didn't get to ride in today for various reasons beyond my control. Because of this I had to walk to lunch, which isn't even that far at all. It's just that I usually ride my bike. The problem is I'm doing little diferent, I'm still putting one foot in front of the other to get where I'm going only it felt like it took an eternity to get there. To top it off it's f***ing balmy outside, 86 and not a cloud in the sky. and my butt will not see the saddle at all today.

*end rant*

just thought i'd share

Walking is an excellent way to travel. Let your mind wander, watch what people do or don't do. Before you know it, you'll be there.

I used to enjoy walking . . . . . then I started biking. You can still let your mind wander and you get to see more people quicker. lol

walking seems so slow, but then again you see all the things you zoomed past on your bike.

I walk to places close to the office after arriving every morning on my bike. This is because I get horrible butt sweat when riding in the extreme heat, which of course is embarrassing.

The worst thing about walking is all the POS (People on Shoes) who don't know what the heck they're doing!

i agree not a fan of walking, but will do it if i must. Nor do i enjoy jogging at any distance..much to hard on the knees, thoug i think running is more efficient as far as getting a good work out goes..it's harder to run 20 miles then it is to bike 20 miles.

true but why the hell would you run 20 miles? at least on a bike I could find an excuse to go twenty miles ad take some stuff with me. They don't panniers and racks for joggers

I love walking!

For the last month or more, I've gone out for a 2 km lunch-time walk 5 days a week. It's a great way to break up the day and get away from the computer and get outside for some fresh air. I look forward to it all morning, and wish I could stay out and keep walking all afternoon.
