How old are you?

Quick poll to resolve demographics question

I am 25 but I don't want everyone to post their ages just answer the poll unless you want to post your age.

Er... If someone's 30 years old, does he vote "25-30" or "30-35" ?

Those threads are more than two years old. Everyone's age has changed since then. Duh.

How come these polls always lump everyone over a certain age into one group? I.e., 50+

Seems you may be missing some significant, important and interesting info.

It makes about as much sense as the following poll:

50 or less
51-55
56-60
61-65
66-70
71-75
76-80
etc.

Well, hopefully you get the point.

Neither one makes any sense, nor is a good range of information collected.

I am nearing 69.

I rode 28 miles one way commuting when I was 64. I still bicycle "commute" to many of the meetings in which I am involved as a volunteer.

I resent being lumped in with all of those young 50'ish folks!

I'm 55 when I'm off the bike, 10 when I'm on it.

Look at the poll distribution so far. The vast majority are concentrated between 20 and 45. Your poll would fit well if you posted it in the 50+ forum, but it would be very skewed here. In contrast, this poll provides much more useful data for the age distribution in this forum.

My Dad was Sgt Pepper. Regretfully that meant my mother was left in the Lonely Hearts Club.

There are 10 options available on any poll.

Only 8 were used.

Of course the distribution reflects younger folks - heck, there are a LOT MORE younger folks alive.

What is missing is the opportunity to find out about someone who may be 75 years old and commutes, or the like.

Why NOT use all the options?

Doesn't mean you've got to use all of 'em :O)

Seriously, though, you can make a new poll if this is a big deal. Peace, mate.
