GreenLightRide.com Primer
Here is some info from anyone interested in GreenLightRide.com:
from the orignal thread:
The site has been up for short time, so there are still lots of bugs to iron out . Basically you log your rides, then join a team and compete in a league against other teams. Hopefully some good motivation as cold weather approaches.
Feel free to start your own team , or follow the instructions below to join the main team:
1. Start a new account at https://Greenlightride.com
2. Send nmanhipot a private message requesting an invite (through the forum, until GLR has messaging up & running)
3. Log your mileage. For now it is suggested that you log all your mileage from September on only.
The first league starts Oct. 13th, and will continue through the end of November. New members are always welcome, every mile counts.
Note:
In the near future invites and team administrative tasks will handled by a few "captains", so once all the details have been arranged invite handling will be much faster.

there are two teams because it was hoped that it would be easier if users could add themselves. This created some issues (sorry again for the suggestion guys), but they will soon be resolved. For right now join whichever team you wish, and keep an eye on either of these threads for any changes. Basically it needs to be decided which model works best(one captain or many captains), and then delete the other team, or have two competing teams potentially.
The site does have some big administrative issues, hence the two teams, but this will be fixed soon. Right now just join up and HAVE FUN!! The first competition as it stands now starts on Oct 9th. A lot of the teams seem to be coworkers from bicycle companies and dealers, so it would be a lot of fun to trounce these guys if we could.

Just got caught up from the other thread, hey sorry about posting historic miles, but I figured depending on how this thing was going to work I didn't want us to get short changed on miles, and I figured just because we weren't a team yet why shouldn't we get credit. We rode them

We should start a read-only sticky with a daily progress report on the team!

Quick update. I received feedback from tech support who said they're working feverishly on the admin side of it. Depending on how all things shake out, we'll figure out how to manage the team. I like the idea of having an open administrator account with a password shared among a few trustworthy folks. Hopefully, we can get all of this worked out in the very near future.
In the meantime, I've sent out invites to those that have posted in the previous thread. For now, just PM me. I think that will be easier. Rock on, people!

Some new admin rights have been added to GreenLight. Still not everything we need yet, but at least you can edit your rides and such. The team is growing, but we can still use more!

Hey guys and gals! The "Anything Goes" league kicks-off tomorrow! Make sure you get out there and ride and remember to log your miles starting tomorrow. We've got a huge team in comparison with anybody else out there so I'm hoping to see 5-digit mileage for the team in the next seven weeks. You can only join one league at a time, so we're in the "Anything Goes" competition through the end of November.
Additionally, they've added more admin rights, so I was able to safely removing the duplicate rider entries for FredOak, amckimmey and Scottbot84! Thanks guys for signing up and participating. I'll keep you guys posted and will probably start a separate thread for the updates for Anything Goes.

I just got back from a three-day weekend camping trip. The contest is on as of today. I'll be getting back on the bike today, also.
