remember two things:

1. you WILL go back to work eventually.

2. when you finally do go back to work you're going to miss your new-found free time, so try to enjoy it while you can.

i was in your boat as well in 2007

I'm trying to enjoy the freedom for as long as I can before getting too anxious. It's only been a few days but I already feel like I'm slacking! The job outlook isn't that great, especially with how hard it is for businesses to get loans these days. But, as long as I have my bike, life ain't bad at all.

A traveling job will make or break your relationship, better you know now rather than later.

Good luck.

Bikes: Mercier Corvus (commuter), Fila Taos (MTB), Trek 660(Got frame for free and put my LeMans Centurian components on it)

As of Friday I will be in the same boat as you. I at least got 4 months notice since if they cut me off right away they would have been totally screwed. The current top job prospect is only 9 miles from my house so that would be seriously awesome if it came about after years of having 20+ mile commutes one way.
