Son of a... spit on me!

I pulled up into a lane just as a truck passed by on my commute today and this gob whizzed by me, grazed my handle bar. Gave him the finger!

I've been spat at a few times, although nobody has tried to bite me while I was riding. Interestingly, every attempt anyone has ever made to spit at me was done in torrential rain. Have there ever been more futile conditions in which to spit at someone.

I once got spat in the face I had to slam on the brakes 'cause my eyes were covered in saliva. I wiped my face and turned around to go give the driver of the parked car a piece of my mind (fist), but he slammed the gas and peeled off. Why do people do that?

A fella I work with "rides a Harley now, instead of bicycle" told us a story about coming back from Germany during the 70s. He was spat on, cought up to the car at the next light, broke the window out of the car and grabbed a doubble hand full of long blond hair in an attempt to jerk the jerk out through the broken window. The driver peeled away leaving him standing by the road with two fist full of hair.
These kind of stories just make my day. BTW we have been trying to get him back on a bicycle!

Look, if someone bites you while riding try a different hobby because your going way to slow! Also since you gave him the finger, did you try to get it back?

Ha ha

Seriously these things piss me off, I mean why bikers? Don't seem em passing by and hurling an egg at someone's parked car.

Seriously next time I'm just gonna go up next to him at the light and key his car. I'd whip my kryptonite chain at him by I'm afraid the 8 pound mass would seriously screw with my stability.

There was a guy on another forum that did the bike chain wack thing and the guy in the car called the police and the police arrested the biker because the biker had no proof the guy ran him off the road and flipped him off and regardless if he did have proof it was termed as assualt to commit property damage. Lucky for the biker though that in today's world the car driver didn't shoot him! So please don't try to exact revenge it will only bite you in the butt. Just my opinion and hoping you follow it so something doesn't happen to a fellow cyclist.

Well I was kidding about the chain thing but I could always key the SOB.

The NYC sanitation service puts these annoyingly bright stickers on car windows that say "THIS IRRESPONSIBLE PERSON WAS PARKED ON THE SIDE OF THE STREET AND PREVENTED THE STREET CLEANERS FROM CLEANING UP YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD" or something like that.

I've thought about printing up these neon lime green stickers backed with impossible to remove glue that says "I'm a little SOB who almost ran someone off the road!". Slap it on their trunk when they don't notice.

I was shot at with a pellet gun by some kids. I was riding in a neighborhood and saw kids with the gun. As I passed, I though I better be prepared just in case they shoot at me and damned if I didnt hear the pop and one pass right by me and hit a nearby tree. I circled back and obviously they scattered so I went to the house to tell the parent. The mom didnt come across very concerned so I said I'd be going to the police to report it. She went in and I headed over to where the kids now started to congregate and asked if they want to try to pull off a shot now, along with some choice words. Violent video games? No, uncaring and uninvolved parents.

Plus, you might get away with it that time, but who says you won't run into that same driver again. The next time could be a "I'm sorry, but I just didn't see him!"

WOW! What did the police do? Some places they would consider that you were shot at and not discount that it was an air gun. That woman was asking for trouble by not reacting even if it were an act for your benifit.

If someone accidentally does something stupid then have a word with them at the next set of traffic lights. If they act like an idiot and don't apologize then "accidentally" hit their side mirror with your fist knocking it off. Makes your hand hurt for a few days but it's worth it

Not really a smart move considering the weight of the car they're driving.
