Let's talk about ourselves

I'm new to this site. (just started commuting to work about a month ago) I find bike commuting wonderful and refreshing, not to mention the health benefits. While browsing through the mountain bike racing forum (I'm not a mountain biker myselft though) I saw a thread where the members can put their brief introduction of themselves. Since I don't have many commuters living around me in the area, the forum gives me the feeling of belonging to a community of fellow commuters, who love biking and/or like to live conciously. I'll start by sharing my background:

Age: 29
Location: Provo, UT
Occupation: IT consultant
Hobbies other than biking: computers, reading, hiking, family outings, training dogs for weight pull
Average miles you ride a day: 10 miles
Fav. Music: Anything that gives me the the kick
What's your favorite commuting bike: Novara Safari

You're welcome to add more to this list, I'm running out of ideas. Thanks for all your posts, and I've learned a lot from you about biking on this forum.

Bikes: IFab Crown Jewel, Giant Defy, Hardtail MTB, Fuji finest, Bianchi FG conversion

Age: 45

Job: Radiation & Explosive Safety Officer for oilfield service company.

Location: South Louisiana

Commute: 10 to 34 miles round trip, depending on which yard I am working at that day. Makes it a little tough to pre-position clothes. I hate toting a pair of size 13 steel-toed boots around on my bike.

Bikes: Fuji Finest, slightly modified, which is my main ride, and and old Bianchi converted to fixed gear, which is still a few weeks from completion.

Music: Everything, except whiney C&W.

Hobbies: My family, sailing, model rocketry, bicycle advocacy (LAB LCI #1126)

Goals: To raise my two sons to be good men, and leave the world a little better that I found it.

Cool thread idea!
