I just put what I need in a ziplock.

I hate having stuff in my front pockets, it pokes me and makes me uncomfortable when sitting.

For me, the thickness of the wallet is more the limiting factor. It doesn't bother me in my front pocket and because front pockets are so deep, there's no issue at all with the added length from having the double-stack of card pockets--not that it's too long for a back pocket, either. The added width--frankly I'm not sure there really is any, or at least nothing I've noticed. It's basically just wide enough to have the length of a credit card on each side, or a dollar bill stretch the whole width.

I say just get whatever wallet you want. The thing is that you don't put it in your back pocket when you ride. If I'm wearing cargo pants, I just move my wallet to one of the leg pockets when I'm riding. Otherwise, it goes into my bag or whatever else I have around. As soon as I get off the bike, it gets moved back to its usual back-pocket place.

The larger one (THE, I think?) can be a little ungainly when fully loaded but it does hold everything in one place.

Get something leather. Nylon wallets are for 8 year olds.

I ride with my wallet every day and have had no problems with it getting worn out. Get a better leather wallet. You should be able to find something worthwhile from 25-50.

This was the wallet I kind of had in mind when I launched this post. This was the wallet I used when I was in Iraq. It got the job done, mostly. It is a little bit big, but it is nice enough. I am going to try out the Timuk2 Cabbie [cheap enough] to see if I have a preference.

My leather wallet is a really nice one [Bosca], but the leather is starting to get some bumps on it. I am not sure why. Any ideas?

For riding, and I ride in my work clothes [jeans, khakis], is a nylon wallet a better idea than leather? If anyone does use a nylon wallet, can anyone suggest one that doesn't make me look like a twelve year old?

I am not going to switch to a money clip...

How about just get a little handlebar bag or saddlebag?
I got a little tube bag from Sunlite that works perfect for me.
it's small, but holds my keys, wallet, glasses, etc.

Wow, your leather wallet is $749 and comes with a 2.4 Ghz processor!

Btw guys, keep your wallet in your front pocket. More comfortable and much harder to steal. I don't know why it's not the standard location.
