Bikes: My own hand built frames

Rock on Russ! Good to see another Long Beacher out there doin' it. Cool to see some LB landmarks in the vid, too bad LB always get's lumped in with LA. Our paths have never crossed out on the road (although we did talk briefly at the University by the Sea a few weeks back), but I know I'll recognize you're bike if they do cross in the future. Be safe.

Awesome! I have been thinking about getting a cargo bike. I just rode from queens to brooklyn with a computer on my touring bike, and it was a little hairy.

Russ...you RULE!

Great piece. Worried me that you might start a helmet debate a little bit (I wear one), and the lycra crowd will most likely be put off that you can actually ride a bike in regular street clothes (same here).

Nice rig too. Thanks for the link.

Russ,

Thanks for taking time to do the video. It's very inspiring and encouraging to all those who commute and those who are even car-free. I appreciate your calm attitude about the hassle from cars who cut you off or yell at you to ride on the sidewalk. And I loved seeing all the vintage cameras in one of your shots; I drooled a bit there. Nice video!

I am sure you can adapt to any challenge. As I was watching your video I was wondering how many cities have virtually zero rainfall in a year besides L.A., as I figured that was the key to being dependable on a bike lugging all that delicate gear. Now you mention Portland, so I was just curious about the rain angle.

Rock On!

I feel stupid now. I didn't realize the OP was the guy in the video.

With that said, you're awesome. And my post was directed in a messy fashion towards this guy....

"Awesome! I have been thinking about getting a cargo bike. I just rode from queens to brooklyn with a computer on my touring bike, and it was a little hairy."

I'm sure you've seent he xtracycle before.
