tire pressure tioga city slicker
I just put Tioga 26X1.25 City Slickers on my mountain bike for commuting. Skinny and fast, yet are strong and somewhat heavy at 390g each. The tires have a 35-65 psi range on them, but they feel nice and tight at around 80psi. I checked some other tires in this range (Ritchey Tom Slicks, Panaracer Pasela) and they have an 85-90 psi max. Am I ok at running 80psi? Could Tioga of put a general range on all their 26 inch tires and these tires really can be run at a higher max? Thanks

I do not put too much stock in max pressure recommendations on the tire. I would not at all worry about 80 in that tire.
