Bikes: Some bikes. Hell, they're all the same, ain't they?

That would be cool; fortunately for me, my one set of toeclips mostly fit my 12D feet.

If your dragging a upside clip through the corners, you have your weight on the wrong pedal.
Or you're still pedaling, like I do when I'm starting off with a turn from a stoplight.

Although I really think that clips (or Powergrips) are much better than plain pedals, I've gone clipless on my bikes. I use Crank Brothers Mallets, which are big enough that they'll work okay with regular shoes (which proved useful when my dad came to visit and we went for a couple rides). For most riding, though, I still use MTB-type shoes, which are perfectly walkable and comfortable enough to wear all day. I also keep work shoes and boots at work, so they're not an issue.

I've learned that I like clipless better than toeclips. No dragging around corners, easier engagement, etc.

Basically, after taking everything into account, clipless works just fine for me.

Such as? Seriously, I can't think of these risks. Can you explain them to me?

You're question wasn't to me, but I think I touched on this earlier. It's easier to get out of a clipless pedal than it is to get out of a tightly cinched clip/strap.

But most of us who've said we use them have also said we don't cinch the strap, or we don't use the strap at all.

when i rode the other day i tightened up my straps and it felt pretty good but i did get a little concerned about stopping at lights but i managed to trackstand through all of the ones i had to stop at...i liked riding this way but i ended up keeping the straps a little bit loose so if i needed to get out quickly i could, i feel like if i was riding a track i would want to tighten the straps down so that i could get the most out of pulling the pedal up...i would love to ride a track

My commuter still has its original toeclips - 1985 (but I did replace the dead leather straps). I may go clipless at some point, but right now that would probably up the value of the bike by 12000%! I like the clips now that I am used to them.

I like toe clips. I just make sure, as the light is turning yellow, and about to go green for me, to push forward a bit and slide my other foot into the pedal. Which is beneficial, because I'm not pushing off after the light is green. I love toe clips, except for those few times in which I actually put the other one in upside down. But I got it down pretty good.
