Here's the high wheeler bicycle (Silky II) frame under modification. I can't find the real model and manufacturer of this bicycle. Front wheel is 24 x 1.75 and rear is 16 x 1.75. Anyone familiar with this bicycle? Can't find stainless steel rims so I'm converting it to a 26 x 1 3/8 and 18 x 1.75.

Cable holders being planted.

Finally all alignment and adjustment on the Silky II 's frame was finished. Now it's time for painting.

Earlier this evening I got curious on how my Pico would look like if I change the small basket to a baby carrier.
The frame design provided for more leg room with the baby carrier installed and was happy about it. Now my brother's daughter will be comfortable when she rides it with her 2 year old son. I'll be taking shots this morning for posting.

Wanda Attack tires are not that reliable. I bought them cause the white sided tires and size are the only available at this time. Anyway I don't use the bike for long distances. It's a tire good for few blocks away. The material is hard as if the rubber component is lesser than the branded Kenda or CST tires. For the looks it's okey.

A friend gave me a plastic coated basket which was totally a junk piece. In my mind I know that this basket would fit one of my bicycles so I scraped the plastic off and had my bicycle mechanic do the alignment and welding process. This is the image after I took off the plastic coating. I have to look for the mounting brackets before sending it for powder coating.

A car/motorcycle/bicycle show is scheduled this coming Sunday at SM San Lazaro, Manila.
The bicycle category seems to be limited and the registration fee is a bit expensive for a one day show.

Inspite of being out of category it seems the organizers would welcome such entries and provide special categories. In this case, I might register my Grass Chopper (Size 18) and Scorcher ( Size 26/18 ) photos of which are in the previous posting with some changes on accessories and parts.

Yesterday was a lucky day. I brought home 3 awards for the 2 entries I made at the bicycle show. My compliments to my bicycle mechanic Olan Valeriano who turned my ideas to reality.

Grass Chopper - Best Bicycle in the Show

Scorcher : Champion - Off-Size Category

Grass Chopper - 2nd Place Rare Category

I had this bicycle since 2006. My 1st Mamachari, a Maruishi Frackers. Just brought it out from storage and had the stand, seat, rear carrier, wheel set and baby carrier changed. Didn't install a 3-speed IGH and Dynamo Hub to keep the bicycle light.

That's a nice sized baby carrier,
a rider can put their groceries in there

Have you seen one of this? This is a minivelo installed with a grinder for sharpening knives and bladed tools. The operator can access narrow alleys to give this special service. The grinder chain simply replaces the bicycle chain on the chain ring.

Just bought 2 sets of white sided Wanda tires size 18 x 1.75. Will be mounting 1 set to my Da Vinci folding bicycle by tomorrow. The other set goes to my trailer. Since that's the only availabe tire here I have no choice but to try it.

Just bought a size 20" minivelo. It's equipped with a dynamo hub, Nexus 3-Speed IGH, and front alloy brake. Will dismantle the bicycle to get the hubs and alloy brake and rebuilt it with standard hubs and brake. Both hubs have 28 holes to fit my other bicycle.

Those wheels remind me of the BMX bikes I used to
ride as a child. What material are the rims made of?
