Sorry about the quality, but this is what most of my route looks like:

This is the best part of my commute. Gorgeous park with plenty of people out exercising just about every day.

That's what I'm talking about
Cell phone pic, but here's a detour up some singletrack on the way home last spring: http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/4058/hellgateta9.jpg |
a blurry cell phone pic but pretty much captures what my ride home tonight looked like along the Charles River looking over at Harvard U.

May I complain with a picture? this pedestrian bridge was fenced then taken down to add an extra lane on the freeway so I was back on the long detour to go around said freeway. This year, after 5 years of riding through a train yard, which was one of the best part of my commute, I got pulled over by the police and told to never ride there again. No love for bicycle, I tell ya.

A lot of my route looks like this: And coworkers always say "aren't you worried about cars?"

From March 15, 2007 - much of my ride will look like this for a few months.

I don't get much of a chance to ride down such a tight road.
The wind must blow down a lot snow and ice from the branches.:) |

6 of my 10 mile commute has a lake view. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...as/misc135.jpg Then a half mile of golf course. |
Here are a few from my commute.
Nice lanes on the main arterials http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b8...D550/ry%3D400/ A large portion of my commute includes this mup that lots of cyclist use with almost no pedestrian traffic. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b8...D550/ry%3D400/ http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b8...D550/ry%3D400/ Part of my route takes me through this golf course office park. Speed limit in the office park is 25 mph and there is heavy police activity since it is close to the police station. Motorist are always kind while riding in the office park. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47b8...D550/ry%3D400/ |

10% of my commute is on a mup, 10% is on an arterial, and the rest looks like this:

Oh, we want videos now? All rightie then.
sections of my 20-mile one-way commute in snow Yes, I am riding downhill on glare ice at 30mph while holding a digicam in my right hand at the end there. Gotta love those Nokian Extremes :) |
