Why do we ride, anyways?

This is the best part of my commute. Gorgeous park with plenty of people out exercising just about every day.

Just off my return commute. However, my return is late at night, so I never ride across this 150 year old covered bridge. Here it is in the daytime.

May I complain with a picture? this pedestrian bridge was fenced then taken down to add an extra lane on the freeway so I was back on the long detour to go around said freeway. This year, after 5 years of riding through a train yard, which was one of the best part of my commute, I got pulled over by the police and told to never ride there again. No love for bicycle, I tell ya.

From March 15, 2007 - much of my ride will look like this for a few months.

I don't get much of a chance to ride down such a tight road.
The wind must blow down a lot snow and ice from the branches.

6 of my 10 mile commute has a lake view.

Then a half mile of golf course.

A large portion of my commute includes this mup that lots of cyclist use with almost no pedestrian traffic.





Part of my route takes me through this golf course office park. Speed limit in the office park is 25 mph and there is heavy police activity since it is close to the police station. Motorist are always kind while riding in the office park.

Is that the i-225 i-25 interchange? I was not aware of a MUP in that location. However, I come down happy canyon via monaco st into the tech center. Odd
