Retro Paint Job?
Hey guys.
All this talk about Brooks saddles got me thinking of painting my bike a bit. I don't have the funds to paint the frame right now, but how would you guys paint up a Trek 520 commuter bike to make it look a little "antiqueish"? I've though about painting a few components (seatpost, stem, bottle cages) maybe a nice dark copper, antique brass, "leather", who knows. Can you spray paint plastic fenders?
Thanks for any ideas.

I have painted a few bikes successfully and the metallic colors look pretty good, either that or a bright yellow, orange or red. Another option on your trek would be outlining the lugs in a contrasting color.(takes a lot less paint) If you are really brave, you might try some pin striping or box lining. Check some of the bikes on Classic Rendezvous for ideas. Don
