stable is tapered back to two bikes --
the 09 felt breed sscx
and the 90 cannondale SR600 crit 1x8
i ride the felt most of the time as my ~60km round trip is about 50% construction right now.

Hey This is my do everything bike. Giant Revel 1 Very nice and fast!! The bike lock I don't use sence my work has a place inside that noone but me can get into. Baby powder for some relif from rideing. Backpack is ultra nice and refletive tape on the zippers didn't come like that and has plety of space for 2 meals bike lock baby powder work cloths rain coat water bottle tooth brush shaver walet. I carry lots to work sometimes. I really cant wait to move to a bigger city where more people bike. I never see anyone on a bike unless its a kid or a homeless person in my town it kinda sad. A few cars with bike racks and a few desent places to ride. But basicly I have 2 route thourght the city to work its super cool cuz I ve learn the city by my bike routes. Both way take me on roads where the speed limit is 45 thats the highest I've gone. And One route take me thought the bike path which is about 50 feet of more. Anyways Love to bike and dont plan on stopping anytime soon have been doing it for 3 year my old bike was a trek 3700 which lasted for about 2 year but also that was my do everything bike props to trek I put that bike thought hell and back and all it needed to work again was a rear shifter. anyways that bike never got one and I rode all winter with the problem of not being able to push down of my petals hard without it whiplashing. I would still be riding that bike but I Had to leave it behind Basicly I knew I wasn't going to be able to Bring it with me when I moved so i left it by the bike store in town unlocked it had spiked tires on it value at 150 dollars. So who ever has it now its a score for them. Hope they like rideing and they probley found out the bike has a shifting problem when they petaled it hope they didn't get hurt anyways was a hell of a bike. Thanks trek.

Here's my Cross Check, updated a bit. This one's mainly my weekend bike, but fills in as my commuter from time to time. It's actually more well outfitted for typical commuting than my regular commuter. I keep my regular commuter pretty barebones because it's only a mile or so to get to work for me, so I normally don't even carry a patch kit or pump on that bike. Anyway, it's sporting a Bontrager rack (with a BikeRegistry.com chain/lock strapped to it—GREAT bike lock, and cheap, too), a Planet Bike Big Buddy seat bag, a Bontrager Air Support pump strapped to the rack leg, 28c Gatorskins, Portland Design Works likes (Danger Zone and Radbot 1000) and a cheap/ugly but crazy comfy Bontrager saddle. Not pictured is the Planet Bike 2W Blaze that I leave off during the day.
Here's a better shot of the decals. I got rid of the stock white cross check decals and replaced them with black Pacer-style ones that I think look a lot classier. Mostly all on the insides of the frame, so only the tiiiiny "Surly" logo on the top tube is visible from the side. The computer is a Bontrager Node 1. I love Bontrager computers because they seem to be the most stem-friendly ones I've come across.
And head-on:
And here's the bike I actually do most of my commuting on, a single speed Trek/Gary Fisher Triton, posing during a grocery trip with a friend's Gary Fisher mountain bike.
Mine's the green one, of course. She sports an Oneal Azonic saddle, which is comfy, and one of the only saddles I could find in grey that wasn't a $300 fizik (I actually found it on clearance for under $10). Also, 28c Gatorskins, a Portland Design Works Payload bamboo rear rack, some gunmetal grey Deda bar tape (also, damn, grey bar tape is also really hard to find), a Bontrager computer, and a Trixie tool.

Thanks! It's funny, my dream bike initially was an all blacked-out bike, but somehow I ended up with baby-vomit green and robin's egg blue. I actually love the colors on both, though, so it worked out pretty well. They look nice together, even. My next goal (WAY down the road) is a titanium road bike from bikesdirect. But for now, I'm loving these two.

With summer tires (Big Apples, 2.0 in front and 2.35 in the rear). Changed grips from old neon yellow Tiogas (which were total dirt magnets) to cheap black Lizard Skins, swapped out clunky looking adjustable stem for Origin8 ProPulsion stem (40 deg, 100mm), and added colored Duck brand duct tape to dorky yellow panniers to make them (very slightly) less dorky. The 60 lbs of groceries in/on the panniers are not part of the standard commute rig, thank God.

I try to make the full 50 mile round trip at least once a week, plus multi-mode and commute 24miles RT on at least two other days. Plus leisure rides.
1977 Schwinn Traveller III. New Wienman 404 wheels, Panaracer Pasella Tourgard tires, upgraded to 7 speed Shimano freewheel. Topped off with a new set of brake pads front and rear.
I was concerned about the wheels, because they were so cheap. ~$90 for the set at Jenson, but I've run these for 600 miles and they are only out of true about 1MM, and I ride some rough country roads with old chipseal.
Love the tires. Decent flat protection and big enough to cushion my 250lbs on a sprung Brooks.
Also super happy with the Radbot 1000 blinky. Super bright and 7+ hour runtime on blink mode.
Just picked up a USB charged front flashing light to mitigate getting hooked.
Definitely looking into clipless for the commute. The platforms make my toes go numb around 35 miles in.
For such an old bike, it sure rides nice.

My ~20 year old Specialized Crossroads, mostly original equipment:

Today was my first day riding in this season (sad, I know). It's 16 miles each way, and I've typically done one day a week. Last year, I managed two days a week one time, and I hope to improve on that this year.

Obligatory garage door shot. by ediblestarfish, on Flickr
Happily picked it up not too long ago. Just need to get my legs back into the whole riding thing again.
