Here is my brand "new" commuting Winter Bike. It is a rusty dark blue Raleigh Challenger, circa 198X and I like It as if it had always been mine.

I know that spring is coming and that I will take good care of it before putting him to rest for a couple of months.

1990 Trek 930 Singletrack mountain bike that I converted to road/commuter use for my son with a comfy seat for his butt and a set of Schwabble Stelvio 26" road tires. It sets a bit lower but that's ok since he's short

What is the brand of the epoxy, I have had hobby shops and even a plastic company tell me that type of plastic will never stick to any epoxy. I want to make the PB mount and mount cellphone clip to it to hold my iPhone. I think it would work well. But I need to right epoxy.

Also I run a PBSF and a PBSF Turbo on the back of my rack. and would like to make something more like that.

It's Loctite brand. Although the first time around it did come off. The second time around I roughened the plastic up and it seems to hold, but if I yank it hard I can see it starts cracking, so I think I'll put a couple of rivets through it. The trick is that there is not enough room for bolt heads, maybe flat rivet will do.

I wouldn't trust it then to hold an iPhone.

BTW, email me if you have questions (see my sig), I don't come here as often as I used to.

Those plastics are tough to glue because as they cool after coming out of the mold the have a glaze rise to the surface. The roughing it up was the key to getting it to stick. I use to do plastics printing and to get the ink to stick we had to flame treat them just before printing to burn it off the surface and then use a NASTY ink with a lot of chemicals in it to basically chemically melt its way onto the surface.

So I went to yank them some more and they came off :( Looks like the glue isn't holding to the Topeak T-shaped part.

My Masi Speciale CX, setup for commuting duty. I know, no fenders. I get wet.

Sub Zero has served me very well this winter. She's my commuter, rainy day ride, and muddy fun steed. Cyclocross bikes make a phenomenal commuter (the shouldering TT helps too.)

I'm pretty happy with my setup I have going now. Planet bike cascadia touring fenders, older niterider headlight, planet bike superflash turbo, planet bike eco rack with reflective tape on it. Shimano SPD pedals. Gatorskins 25mm. Specialized saddle.

Why is your PDX "stupid"?

Because it's got those ridiculous huge tires on it, and it weighs about 30 pounds now! Really, its a fine bike, except for the really, really terrible Tektro Novela disc brakes.

A few weeks ago I got this Nashbar Steel Cyclocross. Previously I was commuting on a 1996ish Diamondback mountain bike. My old mtb is aluminum so the new ride is more comfortable and faster.

Picked this up off CL today...was kind of an impulse buy, but I'm sick of commuting on my poor-fitting hybrid and my new commuter CX bike still hasn't come in yet (thanks Bianchi...). So I'll commute on this for the next couple weeks. I already put my SPD pedal on, adjusted the seat and bars, and took off the extra bottle cage. For a CL bike, this thing is in great shape and super smooth compared to my Jamis. Once my CX bike comes in, I plan to use it as my weekend workout bike.

Sweet pickup matt. That is one classic looking caad. I'd throw some rival or 105 on there and be good to go.
