Salsa Stem Recall

https://www.salsacromotostem.com/

Apparently this is pretty new. I haven't found much about people's experiences with bad salsa stems, but there must be enough out there to warrant a recall. Anybody have any stems break on them?

Pass along if you know anybody with a salsa stem that might fit the description.

It's sad because those stems were a big selling point on Salsa frames. It looks like they're using black stems now (that's what was pictured on their websites for one '08 complete bike).

Bikes: Moots Vamoots, Bianchi Volpe, 2 Salsa Casserolls (fixed & Triple), 2011 Salsa Chili Con Crosso, 1983 Schwinn Supersport, Schwinn Mesa MTB

Apparently 3 broke along with one wrist.

I examined mine under a microscope and saw no evidence of any problems. I doubt that the flaw affected every part, but turned it in anyway.
