No no you gotta DRIVE a bus not take one.. I want to go where I want on my schedule without sharing plus be able to just roll through whatever police roadblock they might setup on my way to work. Although a nice garbage truck might be good and will keep everyone off your 6.

Statistically, one of the most dangerous places that most people ever will see is the inside of a bathtub or shower. More people fall and hurt themselves in the bathroom than you could imagine.
With this in mind, and borrowing from the OPs sentiments, I think that nobody should ever enter a bathroom again. People got by for thousands and thousands of years just being dirty, and squatting over holes in the dirt. It is much safer...

Ok. I've been commuting for a year and a half now through all seasons and on both road and trail. After all this I have determined that bicyclists really don't belong on the road. All we do is impede traffic, annoy drivers and contest roads. The externalities caused by on-road bike commuting are too many and the overall social effects net harm. Stay off the roads and make the world a better place.
So I done decided I’ma gona commute by Kayak to work this summer. Shoot, the river goes right by my house and a block from work so why not… Course my commute will be upstream,(but downstream on the way home) and I got that pesky dam to go over(getting back up it may be the rough part), and some rapids to go through, but it’s bound to be safer than trying to ride a bike, drive a car, or hitch hike to work. Ya think? My wife thinks I tetched in the head, but heck that ain’t never stopped me before.

I am right...and if you question my judgment again, I may have to become more official, rather than the a friendly mentor.

Was that some kind of a racial comment? Do you think that was funny?

I bet you even are one of those people who think the holocaust was real and that it was the Germans who did it, instead of those sneaky Polacks.
I'll have to consult with my peers, but I am not sure we have room in BF for your ilk.

Exactacly exactacally… I agree 52 billion percent. The roads are to dangerous to drive on let alone bike on, and the trails are full of hippies and dog walkers and general non-bikeriden freaks…
Funny thing tho. When I am behind the wheel of a car, a large percentage of other motorists are impeding my progress, annoying me, and contesting my space on the road. Even more so than on my bike. I think I would kill myself if I had to drive around this town daily. So it's really win-win for me.

You're right. I'm going to walk my toy home (wouldn't want to take up valuable space on the light rail with my stuff) and just put it on the rack on the back of the car. That way I can still look at it while I drive it around places.

I agree. That's what makes it so appealing to me. I am from the school of Civil Disobedience and Disturbing the Comfortable.

I think bikes should be banned, they are out dated and a neusence. Our auto industry is on the brink of callapse and we will need to buy cars so Problem solved... You're welcome!
