Why!?!?!

I'm in my office looking out the window and see snow. Lots, and lots of snow.

It's the middle of April, who forogt to update the weather? Does this somehow have to do with the recession since nature can't afford the workforce to switch season?

snowman40 04-15-09 12:59 PM

THis is begging for an Officespace quote as a reply but I can't make it work......my creativity is lacking today.

Barrettscv 04-15-09 01:00 PM

I'd be on the slopes and not in the office!

seagullplayer 04-15-09 01:02 PM

Global warming…

ItsJustMe 04-15-09 07:01 PM

Sunspots (lack of).

adaminlc 04-15-09 08:29 PM

Nature is giving you the opportunity to prove how dedicated you are. :p

Just goes to show you that the whole global warming thing is a crock. :notamused:

Tell that to the Australians.

You have a window in your office? What I wouldn't give for a window in my office.

This was the view out of the windows at my last office.

I start a new job tomorrow. I suspect that I'll have no windows.

He has an office. What I wouldn't give to have an office.

A windowless office is better than no office. Congratulations on finding the new job in a tough market.

vantassell 04-16-09 09:43 PM

Yeah, i know what you mean. 70 degrees Monday, snow Tuesday. I can't wait for global warming.

+1. I have a desk. No privacy whatsoever.

What? Not even a cubicle? Just a desk?

Well, I'm a TA, so it's not that bad; I only sit there for a few hours a week for office hours. However, it would be nice to have an office anyway, even if it were shared with other TAs.

poopisnotfood 04-17-09 11:26 AM

If it makes you feel better it is 70 here today.

Nope. It doesn't, at all. For some reason I think, that just maybe, you didn't think it would help at all either!! ;)

The snow has melted and maybe I take for granted the fact that I have an office with windows, on 2 walls even! Until I get slicks I am avoiding riding in deeper snow/ice since I've ate it too many times w/o them.

Somedood:
I feel your pain. Living in SLC reeks havoc on my senses. Freezing-snowing one day, nice and beautiful the next. It is supposed to reach 80 degrees today! Go Earth!

By the way, have you noticed how many tragic accidents have occurred lately between bicyclists and motorists in the Wasatch Front area? Good heavens, the stats are not in my favor as a two-wheeled commuter.

Best of luck with riding, I hear rain is in the forecast for this weekend.

Peace

I bet you have more changeable weather in Utah than they do in Colorado. I have friends in the Denver area, and the stories of their weather are hilarious.

I remember watching the weatherman in Denver once, when I was there on business. "We're going to have a little snow tonight. Not much. Maybe about 12 or 13 inches." Hahahahaha. I'm not even kidding.

SlimAgainSoon 04-22-09 06:56 PM

Today ... Sunny, high of 78.

Forecast for tomorrow ... more of the same.

Of course, don't ask come August.

unterhausen 04-22-09 10:08 PM

the theory behind global warming predicts more variability, not just hotter weather. My friend told me his lunchtime ride today was 105F. My ride today was 42F, Friday it should be 72.

Buglady 04-22-09 10:27 PM

... it's snowing AGAIN.

I hate Calgary... and this has nothing to do with climate change; it's apparently always been like this here. :notamused:

As long as it doesn't come east. For the next four, five days we're going to be in the mid to high 20's and on Sunday it's going to feel more like 30;)
