Dude, bike Commuting up in FB, AK (yr round?) is beyond imaginable. If you are doing this 12 months per year, you get the ultimate tough guy award. Ding, Ding, Ding!

Me, I kind of wimp on commuting at anything below 20 F, but I will go for rides on my days off or after work with temps at or below 0. I just don't do my 27 mile (one way) commute under those conditions.

Bikes: "Hildy", a Novara Randonee touring bike; a 16-speed Bike Friday Tikit; and a Specialized Stumpjumper frame-based built-up MTB, now serving as the kid-carrier, grocery-getter.

I can only pick one?

I generally commute if the temp is above 40 F. I PREFER to commute between 70 - 90 F. I also PREFER to ride when it's sunny, but will commute if it's raining, but NOT thunder and lightning
