First Commute Today
I have been reading this forum for a while now, and I just wanted to introduce myself by saying that I made my first commute today. I wasn't able to ride all the way from my house to work, but I drove half way to a friends house and rode the rest. I averaged 18 mph on the ride in this morning (Probably due to a large hill that I rode down), but I expect to be much slower going home. The weather was cool, there was very little traffic, and the ride was very enjoyable
In case anyone is interested here is the route that I took:

I thoroughly look forward to doing this more often.

The return trip was almost as pleasurable as the way in. Going up that hill was fun (when I got to the top anyways). It was extremely humid which made the trip slightly less enjoyable, but I enjoyed the time on the bike anyways. I plan on continuing to commute at least three days a week to start off, but I do hope to eventually make the commute everyday.
Also,
Thanks for the support. Everyone on this forum is awesome.
