Tubus rack on Casseroll issue

I just got a new Tubus Vega rack for my Salsa Casseroll and am having some issues installing it to the seat stays The left sliding post on the rack that is to attach to the left seat stay braze-on is somewhat blocked by the rear brake where the cable enters to top of the brake. (I know-kind of confusing) I was all pumped to try this out on my commute tomorrow but now I'll have to wait until I figure out how to get around this obstacle. My hope is that there is some wise cyclist out there who has encountered this problem and solved it and is willing to pass along the wisdom!! Any ideas???

I have the exact same problem on my 55cm Casseroll and Blackburn EX-1 rear rack. I resorted to using p-clips. Fortunately I don't carry heavy loads on the rack. If anyone has other solutions I'd love to hear them.

with the tubus you can reverse the left - or for a uniform appearance, both - rack strut nuts so the struts come from further inboard, and bend the struts pretty severely to clear the brake. just be careful not to bend the strut at the eyelet.

you know the Vega rack strut nuts can slide laterally on the rack? just loosen the top bolt with an allen key.

Thanks Bekologist - Bending the struts did the trick. I needed to create alomost an "S" bend starting near the eyelet opening. Worked well and I'm all installed now. Many thanks for your input
