I'm glad your bike is OK! And your head. New helmet, bonus! Manufacturer of skull/brains isn't offering any free replacements on those parts, but he will replace the lost skin. Hope that knee looks OK after the swelling goes down.

There is a section on my route that has super-slippy lines which I loathe in wet weather. Heal up fast

+1 for the helmet good job. Sorry to hear that i'll keep that in mind i sometimes cross that yellow line when its wet, i'll have to be more careful.

Glad to hear you'll be ok. I know exactly where your accident was. I've thought that spot headed west is the 2nd most dangerous spot next to the S Curve of Death on the eastbound Custis Trail. I almost got rear ended at this spot because I was taking it too slow one time.

During May in DC I read that it rained almost at the pace of Bangladesh during the monsoon season, just maybe it will stop raining for the next few weeks and things will dry out.

Ok... I'll admit, I'm a die hard. Did my 25 mile commute in this morning. Work's just going to have to deal with me wearing shorts, cause all the scabs broke open.... yuk!
