There was a noticable increase in commuter traffic today. Or it might just be the nice weather.

Did you stop at one of their commuter stations and grabbed a goodie bag? Usually it's just stuffed with fliers and 10% off coupons for stuff you don't need, but guess what. This year it contains a Sigma Cuberider.
I might have to ride the extra mile tomorrow to another station to pick up an extra one
The list with commuter stations is available here

I just tried the light. Nothing too special, but it will work as a backup light

Bikes: Specialized Langster, Bianchi San Jose, early 90s GT Karakoram, Yuba Mundo, Mercier Nano (mini velo), Nashbar Steel Commuter, KHS Tandemania Sport

No commuter stations where I ride near the bike commuter wasteland around Ohare.

None in the suburbs either. Not even any of the Bike to Metra promos going on at the train stations I use.

Hopefully I will see more bike commuters than normal this week. Nothing out of the ordinary yet though.

Bikes: Schwinn Ranger

I have some friends that need tail lights. I'll have to let them know about the stations. Might even get one for myself, to have as a backup.

Wow! You're a trooper. I made the bike commute a few times to our office in Schiller Park and that was not fun, to say the least.

One of my friends was mentioning one of the other bike to work weeks earlier in the year, and asked me if I was going to do that. I told her I still only ride to work once or twice a week, and had been doing it for a few weeks already. Hope the job hunting is going well for you.

The office-leg of my commute takes me through a little of Franklin Park, Schiller Park, Bensenville, and Chicago. I'm used to being alone out there. I'd guess that on less than 5% of my commutes do I see another bike on the road.

Rode in the rain to pick up my musset. Tail light, 2 cliff bars, peanuts, water bottle, a copy of Momentum, the Magazine for self-propelled people, coupon for 4 oz of Goose Island beer. Not bad for free.

That is good. Where are you supposed to get the 4oz of beer? Seems kind of strange - like the Miller 64 commercials.

I bet there won't be much of a crowd there today with the bad weather. More beer for you?

The rain missed me this morning. Some streets were partially flooded, but no moisture coming from above. We'll see about this afternoon. On Tuesday I got caught in the deluge going home.

I saw one guy on a bike actually on the road today. And get this, he was riding on the correct side of the road. This is a rare occurrence indeed.
