Also, I do hope that you have other places to ride. Your videos are so bleak and depressing (and that's coming from someone who lives in Baltimore!).

Highly unlikely, I have ridden all over the country, and it is the safest way to ride by far.

That's probably how I would have ridden it. The cyclist has maximized his visibility to others and is predictable and legal. He has anticipated hazards - the pedestrian stepping out into the street, the right turn lane (hooks), slick manhole cover, and moving away from the emergency vehicle flashing lights that overshine his bike blinkie.
