It doesn't matter what they ride as long as they ride on the right side of the road and don't give other cyclist a bad rap.

So.... the ones dressed in black without lights at night, or riding on the wrong side of the road, or sitting so low their knees are at their ears, etc..etc.. how exactly are they 'annoying' you?
I see this stuff every day. If they're not in your face, I think y'all need to adjust your filters...

1) Wrong way riders.
2) Wrong way ninjas.
3) Anyone that passes me only to end up getting in my way. You wanna pass? Fine, just keep on going.
Frankly, I love it when some noob spends waaaaay too much on all the coolest, latest gear. Without these deep pocket morons, Craigslist wouldn't have half as many good deals.

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
The people who pass you with no call out or have no bell have been making me nuts... I have to cross the bridge to get to the south side and it is a busy multi use corridor.
On far too many occasions this week I have slowed to yield to pedestrians in front and / or oncoming cyclists and had people pass or try to pass me when it was not safe or just as I was clear to go around.
I chased down a couple of people (not that this was hard) and gave them a lecture on passing etiquette and told them they came very close to being taken out because I did not hear or see them until the last second.
Tonight I was just pulling away from my favourite coffee stop and some poseur on a plastic bike did the same thing by doing a close pass and I almost slammed into him.
I say poseur as after another little lecture I dropped his sorry ass on the bridge while riding a 70 year old bike.

The guy who takes part of my route and rides in too high a gear, 4 inches from the kerb looking down at his front wheel.
He annoys me because he is oblivious and disrespectful to the surrounding high spped traffic and apart from giving us all a bad reputation, distracts me because I keep thinking he's going to get swept onto the kerb by a lorry and I'll have to help pick up the pieces.

The people who tell me I should ride with traffic, wear brighter clothes, or put lights on my bike, but especially the ones who shout "raise your seat" at me. I have no idea what any of them are talking about.

"The only thing that bothers me about any bike rider - is a seat that is way too low!"
And I woulda thought that wrong-side, lightless nijas who cross against the light might bug ya JUST a teesy-weesy smidgeon or 3....

I speak from experience when I say the Walmart biker annoys me the most. He'll -
1. Tell everyone how he bought a bike for 10% of what your bike cost - obviously he's smarter than you - for spending $100 when you spent $1000 for a bike "that does the same thing".
2. Endlessly complain about how his butt hurts from riding on his seat, but refuse to buy a decent seat because "the seat would cost half an much as the bike did!", giving everyone the impression bike commuting has to be painful.
3. Eventually he'll have a major part fail on his bike, then he'll tell EVERYONE how he was STRANDED, and everyone who was maybe considering bike commuting but didn't will all be like "OMG, I'm never commuting on my bike and having that happen to me!" Of course, he's not going to mention that it's because he bought a total *** bike.
Now people in the office will somehow think that
1. You're not that bright because you paid way more for bike stuff than you needed to
2. You're also in pain every day you ride in
3. It's only a matter of time until something fails and you are also stranded.
4. They'll never be nieve or "hardcore" like you are enough to bike commute in themselves

The commuters who bug me the most are men in their teens-to-20's slowly riding a high-end women's road bike on the sidewalk facing traffic, no lights, with their knees about to hit their chins, then treating the bike like **** just dropping it on the sidewalk when they dismount. It really looks like the bike was stolen.

I admit I hate when I'm waiting at a red light and someone with an ancient 3-speed glides in front of me and takes position to go first when the light turns green. They know they are going to get passed in about ten seconds (since they are cruising along at about 9mph) so why bother to jockey for position?

They're just riding the way they drive. VC FTW!

A plausible chain of events, perhaps, but I doubt this person's influence extends beyond a handful of people. That's the good news. The bad news is, neither does yours.
I would be happy if there were enough of us bike commuters around here to actually have more than one of us in the same work group, and to stimulate discussion of the activity.

I made sure to ride on the right side of the lane until he dropped me. Took about 10 seconds.
