You didn't say the sky was blue. You said a bunch of stuff about beating someone's "a55" that I think if you ever did it, is likely to land you in jail, if done as you originally described it. Feel free to do it your way and "take one for the team" (or from Bubba in the cellblock, whatever) and prove me wrong. Also feel free to say that the sky is blue, which I'll ignore because I don't care.

Technically, the sky really isn't blue. Particulates in the air, along with the angle of the sun can create any color of the rainbow. Not to mention, at night the sky looks black which it really isn't either. The blackness is simply due to the lack of light but the spectrum is still there-if you could see it. Excuse me, am I over-analysing the obvious?

Wow, glad I don't live there. Last time I dialed 911 (about 3 weeks ago, due to a car accident), the cops were there in about 90 seconds, and that was for a no-injury fender bender. The cops around here rock. Ambulance response time even out in the country is about 8 minutes, about 3 minutes in town. I have no friggin idea how they get there that fast, but they do.

Assault = Threatening bodily harm
Battery = Physically attacking an individual

The driver in this instance was indeed committing assault.

Jesus. Cops only arrive that quickly for doughnut sales in this town. In the city I used to live in, this meth/crack/scumbag/junkie passed out on the street corner metres from my home. My neighbour had been out there with the guy for many minutes, had called 911, no cops, no ambulance, no nothin'. I walked down the street, was like WTF? dialled 911 myself, the nitwit operator started asking me stupid questions, I told him I was just making a repeat call for my neighbour, at the same address as previous and that my cellphone battery was about to die. Fool gave me attitude for having a mostly dead cellphone battery. Still no cops, no ambulance, no nothing. Waited for several minutes, crackhead woke up and walked away. THEN a cop leisurely drove up.
