Could be worse. I have an ICE who only turns their cell phone on when they have an emergency. Of course, that is why that person is number 3 on the list. They will never get contacted because number 2 is a realtor.

My fiancee is on my RoadID for emergency contact. I figure they'll leave her a message and she'll eventually find out where they took me.

I've got the gf on my RID too. I hope to god she'll have her Garmin with her to come get me wherever I am!

My cheap dog tag on a neck chain has name, address, phone and ICE phone. Perfectly fine for those of us without medical complications.

I knew a lady who was a Jane Doe for nearly an hour. Her pockets werre stripped bare by the locals before EMS arrived, and it took a while for her cognition to return to the point where she was specific and believable. Just thought I would throw that out there, a reminder that your wallet may not be adequate ID, depending on where you cycle.

I use a dog tag I had made at a local army navy store, then I bought a collar for a small dog to attach it to my wrist. I need a new/better one, out of date info. I was contemplating writing the info on paper and pinning it to my shirt, maybe not a very good idea.

I got the Boomerang tag, and have 3 ICE numbers on there on the back. The GF always has her cell phone on, but wasn't real thrilled when I put her number on the tag. She was the one the cops contacted first after her exhusband died after being hit by a car while bicycling, and we're both hoping that doesn't happen to me.

$3.95. At that price I got enough to put them in the laces of all my shoes, on the zipper of my jacket, and one around my neck. And got some for my pets collars too as long as I was paying shipping.

I agree that it's a great idea, but there's nothing magical about RoadID. I bought one once but it's just a damn tag, there's no reason to pay $20+ for a tag with some stuff etched into it. Of course, if you have medical issues that are relevant in emergencies and can't be adequately expressed on a MedicAlert tag, you might want to go for their extra services, but for most people a literal dog tag is fine.

I typed my ICE on notepad, printed it, cut it to fit the keychain sized "loyalty" cards from grocery stores and pharmacies. I taped my ICE on both sides of the loyalty card and then laminated it with clear packing tape. I carry it on my keyring.

This bugs me. If we post something somebody hasn't heard of before, we should explain what it is or provide a link like the poster above this post. Telling someone to Google it seems rude somehow. Not to mention the fact everybody and their dog knows about Google already.

Yep, it bugs me. There's 4000 terms etc around this board that I don't have a clue about and I don't ask because of subtly rude comments like yours.
