Get a wider tire. A Schwalbe Marathon Racer is a good all around compromise is still a fast 28" when you put it on a road bike. I also have a carbon seatpost. Takes the jolt out of a rough road when mated to a Brooks Conquest sprung saddle.

Bikes: Bridgestone 300

What's the best wide tire for the OP? 27 inch, comfortable ride...

How about the Michelin World Tour? Or is the Schwalbe Marathon better for a comfortable city ride? Or Panaracer Pasela?

All those tires come in 27x1 1/4. Anyone have a specific recommendation?
