C-Dale Morphis Shell <3

I purchased a C-Dale Morphis Shell a couple days ago. Wanted something I could wear as an outer layer that would block the wind and water resistant. Also wanted something I could wear in the afternoon as the day warms up.

The Morphis Shell is really nice. Yesterday in the morning, temperature was ~40F on my way to work. Very windy, and a light drizzle. The Morphis Shell worked great. Kept the wind and rain off of my body. I got a little warm, though I wore kind of a thicker base layer.

In the afternoon, temperature got up to a balmy 55F. This is where the Morphis Shell was awesome. The sleeves are attached to the rest of the jacket with magnets. I removed the sleeves and it made a great vest for the ride home. Kept my chest warm while letting my arms dissipate the heat generated from riding.

Today, on my ride into school, temperature was 46F. Wore a light base layer underneath the Morphis Shell and stayed at a fairly comfortable temperature. Started warming up near the end of my 3 mile ride though. Had it been longer, I might have taken the sleeves off.

Overall, a great jacket. A little pricey, paid $110 for it at REI. They only had the hi-viz yellow and blue moon colors on the racks. Grabbed the blue one in XL.

I got the Morphis shell a couple of years ago. Pretty happy with it for
this time of the year. Light, packable and zipping off the sleeves in the
afternoon is great.

I got one a few years ago, and I wore it through a Minnesota winter for anything from about 55F down to 0F when I considered taking the bus. Wore a base layer and, below 35F or so, a sweater under it. As long as I kept moving that's all I needed on my torso.
